Ombre Powder Brows & Combo Brows

Ombre Powder Brows is a popular style of brow tattooing.  The tattoo is implanted into the skin implementing the same type of needle used in traditional body tattoos but rather than the ink being implanted into the deeper layers of the skin, the needle is barely grazing the upper surface of the skin which allows the ink to gradually fade over time.

Ombre powder brows mimics the look of eyebrow powder makeup hence the name.  This style of brow tattoo is known for the gradually faded front bulbs of the brow creating an “ombre” effect that looks beautiful and natural while also helps to avoid the look of brow fronts that are harsh and boxy.  

Compared to Microblading, Ombre Powder brows provide a fuller more defined brow for clients who like something with a little more “oomph”!  Even though powder brows are more full than Microblading, they can still look very natural if that is the desired outcome.  Less implanting of ink is all that it takes to give this style a more natural look.

Ombre Powder brows typically last 1.5-2 years before you need a touchup.  Factors that can affect ink retention are if you lead an active lifestyle, excess exposure to the sun, SPF protection, and skin type.  While Microblading is best suited for people who have youthful dry to normal skin, Ombre Powder Brows are suitable for all skin types (especially oily and mature skin) making it a great choice for everyone!

Combo Brows

Combo brows is the best of both worlds marrying the styles of Microblading & Ombre Powder Brows together with Microbladed hairstrokes at the front of the brow and more defined shading in the body and tail of the brow.  This style is great for someone with youthful dry to normal skin that loves the look of hairstrokes but wants a more defined shape.
