Lip Blush

Have you ever wished your lips had more color or wished they were a different tone?...or have you noticed your lips have lost their color over time with age?  Lip Blush tattoo is the perfect solution for exactly these issues.  During a lip blush tattoo, pigment is implanted into the uppermost layers of lip tissue with a tattoo needle and machine.  The end result is a beautiful wash of color on your lips to give you that "your lips but better" look.

Color choice for the lip blush usually depends on the client's current lip tone and their skin's undertone.  The permanent makeup artist will take into account the client's personal preferences as well while selecting the final color for the lip blush service.  Bare in mind that sometimes the color the client wants may not be the best color choice for them and the artist will explain all the factors that go into making the final selection.

Often times two appointments are necessary for lip blush due to the nature of how lips heal after the the first appointment.  Generally, the inner most part of the lip closest to the teeth will lose pigment more than any other area of the lip during the healing phase.  This is due to how often that part gets "touched" like during eating, brushing teeth, etc.  Since it's very difficult to avoid having the inner part of the lip not come into contact with anything,  a second appointment is usually required to go over any areas that didn't retain as much pigment.  The second appointment can also be used to make any color adjustments to the color of the lips if the client wants a pinker tone or peachy tone, etc.

Lip blush lasts anywhere from 1-2 years before needing a touch up.  How long your lip blush lasts depends on several factors such as skin type, exposure to sun, adherence to aftercare, and wearing lip balm that has spf in it to prevent premature fading, etc.

In some instances, Lip Neutralization will be required before a client can get lip blush.  You can read more about that below.

Lip Neutralization

Lip Neutralization is done when someones natural lip tone is dark and/or very cool toned resulting in blue/purple looking lips.  A very warm pigment color (usually orange) is tattooed into the lip to "neutralize" the dark cool hue allowing for the client to then get the lip blush color of their choice.  Depending on how dark the lips are, Lip Neutralization can often take multiple sessions before achieving the desired result.
